Kathy Svanascini serves as Assistant General Counsel at GeneralCounselWest, PC. She has over 22 years of experience in private practice representing and advising clients across industries in the areas of contracts, real estate, business and estate planning, operations, general litigation, appellate law, and business matters.

As a highly experienced transactional attorney, her practice at GeneralCounselWest focuses on a wide range of related issues for Healthcare entities, including:

• Drafting, reviewing, and providing legal analysis of contracts (vendor and payor  agreements, business associate agreements, and employment agreements)
• Assisting clients in forming business entities
• Providing guidance on a range of corporate legal and compliance matters

Kathy earned her law degree from DePaul University School of Law, where she was a member of the Business Law Review. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University.

Kathy is active in her community. She is a board member of “The Center,” a non-profit that offers early intervention and education for children, provides a path forward for adults struggling with addiction, and integrates art and other educational programs into the school, adult programs and community. She also serves as a board member of the Rotary Club of Orland Park, IL.

She is a member of the Illinois and Michigan bar.
