As we geared up with excitement for the start of the new school year, we reflected, with gratitude, on how far we have all come since the start of the pandemic. Now, more than ever, heading back to school presented a level of excitement on a par with New Year’s Eve.
With this in mind, the GCWest team and our families gathered together for our inaugural “GCWest Cares” community service project to prepare backpacks for local kids in need. Working with a program through South County Outreach (sco-oc.org), we collected new backpacks and filled them with a list of requested school supplies for elementary students in our community. It was a wonderful way to spend time with our kids, colleagues and families, while making a small impact on our larger community.
